Stephen Hawking wants you to get the hell off the planet. It’s nothing personal though, he wants everyone to get off the planet. The world’s most famous Dalek impersonator told website Big Think that the old blue marble has had its day so we may as well pack our bags and head for Alpha Centauri…

As well as repeated attempts by the mole people to take over the surface world, but I think we all know where he’s coming from.
This plan for survival of the species does carry one caveat – those unfriendly space aliens that Hawking has warned us of in the past….

Despite the all too obvious dangers of space colonization, I for one welcome such unfettered paranoia in one of the world’s leading intellectuals. Why? Because it makes me feel a lot less self-conscious about checking my backyard for zombies before I go to sleep every night, that’s why.
