The Great Goat Rescue

Good news for two woefully dim-witted young goats who apparently wandered onto the ledge of a 60 foot high railway bridge and then turned chicken when it came to going home.

After two days of being up the bridge without a rope ladder, some nice humans got a cherry picker from a nearby mine and fished the creatures out of danger. Sandy Church, the woman shooting this video, has speculated that the goats wandered onto the ledge in the middle of the night, so they didn’t know what they’d gotten themselves into until sunup at which point they became too petrified to leave.

Whatever the reason they were up there, it’s definitely a case of “Yay!” for the baby goats, and the folks who went to help them.
